How Aqualux Heat Pumps Work

The Aqualux Heat Pump works the same as a refrigerator in reverse.

A refrigerator removes heat from inside a box and transfers it via heat exchangers to the surrounding room.

A heat pump hot water system pulls the heat from the surrounding air and transfers it to heat water which is then stored in the tank.

Unlike a traditional storage hot water system that uses electric elements, much like a kettle, to heat the water, the technology used in heat pumps continues to evolve as we move to electrification and our emissions of Carbon Dioxide.

We have observed these technology improvements and have developed a system that operates in all Australian climates.

Heat Pumps How It Works

Features

The Wilson Aqualux heat Pump hot water system utilises R-290 refrigerant. R-290 minimises the effects on our planet both minimising Global Warming and Ozone depletion.

  • Superior Energy Efficiency with a coefficient of performance (COP) of greater than 4.5
  • The unit can be configured to deliver up to 75°C, reconfiguration requires a change of model number and does not attract any rebates
  • Split design allows greater flexibility of installation options
  • Designed for Australian climatic conditions – 25°C to 45°C
  • Low noise of 39 dB(A) at 1 M
  • Various operating modes – Smart mode, Silent mode, and Powerful mode
  • Full function remote control
  • Long-life stainless-steel tank
  • No electric element maximises energy efficiency
  • Control logic designed to optimise PV power usage.

WiFi connectivity for easy control and diagnostics

Stay in control with the touch of your fingers.

  • Large touch screen that can be mounted on the unit or inside the home
  • Technician share capability puts you in control of who is dialing into your system allowing remote diagnostics and lower service costs
  • Full functionality control via iPhone or Android
  • Real-time temperature monitoring and adjustment
  • 3 operating modes controlled from WiFi connection:
    • Smart mode – optimises system for minimal energy consumption
    • Silent mode – minimal noise if the system is set to operate at night to take advantage of off-peak power
    • Powerful mode – maximum power to reduce heating time
